Joey Belladonna and his band were great Saturday night at Jarrod's Place. This was the 4th time Ive seen him solo and it was probably the best. They played 17 songs in the hour and 36 minute long set.
It amazes me that more people dont come to see him perform. I guess they'd rather go see Scott and Charlie's piss poor band who never play the old shit Belladonna cranks out. (Personally, I lost interest when State of Euphoria came out, but atleast those last couple of albums with Belladonna on vox had SOME decent material on them) Id say only around 200 people were there. He opened the set with MADHOUSE and played other classic Anthrax songs like METAL THRASHING MAD, ARMED & DANGEROUS, MEDUSA, CAUGHT IN A MOSH, N.F.L., INDIANS, I AM THE LAW and IN MY WORLD. Joey's drumming is pretty impressive, especially considering he's also belting out all those vocals.
I have to say, I really like Jarrod's Place. Although the stage is too low, they have re -entry and thats killer, especially when they put a bunch of no talent bands on the bill. The worst was the blackstone valley DOUCHE crew. If you've never heard these guys consider yourself very fortunate. They opened with a rap-metal version of Shout at the Devil which ended abruptly right before the guitar solo. Apparently these guys cant play leads. They also cant play metal. I cant figure out why a "jump da fuck up" rap metal band was put on this bill. These guys really suck!

so what jarrods place sucks and your a fool for going there and giving him your money!!

i have said it once and i'll say it again going to this club or playing this club is hurting the scene !!!

i know theres a bunch of you that look at it as a place to play and suck up to him and what not but seriously thats a stupid reason to play a shitty club.
