http://www.dischord.com/fugazi_live_series Welcome to the new Fugazi Live archive! We are up and running but still adjusting to new traffic patterns. We do expect some bumps along the road as traffic spikes and the site adjusts so don't be alarmed if you experience sluggish performance or navigation miscues from time to time. As more traffic data comes through we will be making adjustments accordingly.
Between 1987 and 2003, Fugazi
played over 1000 concerts in all 50 states and all over the world. Over 800 of these shows were recorded by the band's sound engineers. The goal of this project is to make each of these recordings available to download for a small fee. We will start with 130 shows and release more monthly until we're done. A searchable archive lists each show along with available photos, flyers and general show info. Each listing with a download offers a streaming preview of material for sound quality as well as the reading and posting of comments on the show and the recording.
i went to a fugazi concert once with some punk friends, in like 1990. we were under the assumption that dude from minor threat's new band would sound like minor threat. serious disappointment.
We still hold that these 100 live shows, no matter the quality or performance, are better than anything else ever endorsed or discussed on this site, ever.
I had bought The Argument as a freshman in high school or something like that... I think around that time it had actually just come out. I listened to it a fair amount back then but it's not something I've been able to go back to ever or anything. Coupled with my current opinion of Ian Mackaye, I don't think I will be going back...
I remember buying Red Medicine on tape for a girlfriend on her birthday when it first came out...
then I got laid.
i posted regarding this on her facebook wall to see if she remembered it and she informed me that it was 7th or 8th grade....where does the time fucking go? i remember it clear as day but i dont even remember watching eyehategod last night hahah
