New site? Maybe some day.
ok so i just moved to old orchard beach, me for the summer... anything to do up here besides work? or go to portland? how about saco and biddiford?
anything? |
Beer/meadery tours around the Portland area, shows at Geno's, hiking, belgian beer & fries at Duck Fat (Portland), canoeing on the saco river, Novare Res Bier Cafe |
Seriously? Maine is paradise. Anything along the coastline is amazing. Go to Portsmouth, NH. Eat. Go to Portland. Eat. Drink. Go to Wells/Ogunquit, eat, drink, beach. Go to MT.Desert Isle and have your mind blown.
Or sit at OOB and fap. |
Saco River summer canoe trips replete with beers, burgers, and various psychoactive drugs make for a grand time. I suggest it highly. |
go to Ogunquit and have sex with dudes. |
Urinate and defecate on Hoser's front door. |
well the only wheels i have is my bike so i cant get to far, i hit up portland already just bus's dont run so late... im mostly just gonna sit on the pier eat pizza and fries and hit upthe arcade... drunk of course lol |
Go to Taco Bell in Bangor. |
go to Ogunquit and have sex with dudes. |
This statement obviously comes across as one who has already achieved such a feat. |
take bus to acadia, hike cadillac mountain, win. |
I bike from portsmouth to old-gay-port all the time. 17 miles. |
also, there are awesome back roads from old orchard to long/short sands. one thing that sucks is the bridge between york and kittery is out so you have to either go down rt 1 to get to nh or go through the woods to cross another bridge. |
Go to Congdon's in Wells if you are going to go anywhere that involves donuts. |
I'm up in Portland right now. What are the best restaurants around here? |
Maine is my favorite place in the country.
Go hiking. Acadia is great...there are some really great trails there. |
what do you like? silly's and green elephant are faves of mine. |
But fishing license, catch fish, grill fish. |
hey brian, ive never been to acadia and am now interested in checking it out, possibly this weekend. any tips/suggestions/recommendations? im having trouble even finding a specific address...
Do what thou will. Just dump the remains in a NH pond. |
Precipice is a more technical climb. It's awesome, but you need to check with park services first to see if it's open. Depends on if the paragrines are there. Don't be afraid of heights. People have died on this trail, so it's something to take seriously. Only one that isn't dog friendly, as you shouldn't be getting dogs up and down ladders.
Anything on Cadillac is going to be pretty strenuous as it's the highest peak, but not overly technical.
Beehive is a fun trail.
door Mountain has a lot of stairs, not overly difficult.
Wonderland/Ship's Harbor is an easy walk but beautiful scenery.
Gorham Mt Trail is a great, simple hike.
Bubble Rock trail is short...there's a cool rock that you can stand under and look like you're holding up.
Hugenot head is near sand Beach, pretty easy but scenic.
A bunch of these are accessed from the pay part of the park. The fee isn't much...we always go in a vehicle that has a pass...so I can't be more specific. |

you ever camp there? im thinking head up tomorrow, hike somewhere kinda easy, camp there, and do a harder hike in the morning. is it laid out like that? also, how do i find the main "pay part" area? i dont mind paying, i just need something to put in my gps. |
Jonathan Frid is the man. |
