Listened to 5 Amber Asylum songs, I found them to be more gothic/operatic as opposed to folkish. Definitely more ambient too. Nice cello work, but I don't feel it's that similar to Autumn Grieve.

i like the guitar melodies, but i'd say the vocal style behind the music detracts from it somewhat. the girl can sing, but i'm not feeling it as much when being sung over the music. it's definitely talented and something I would buy. depressing jewel folk inspired music is depressing jewel folk inspired music.

pretty good stuff. songs are hit or miss though.
