More than 15 years after OZZY OSBOURNE debuted OZZFest, the defining blueprint for hard rock tours and festivals returns this August in six American cities with an explosive bill co-headlined by OZZY and, in their first-ever OZZFest appearance, Mötley Crüe–touring together for the first time with OZZY since he invited the group on their now legendary 1984 arena tour. Expect the energy to go way off the charts at the all-day extravaganza of music and deranged merriment.
The 2010 OZZFest–back after taking a year off in 2009 and the 2008 one-off stadium spectacular in Dallas, TX with OZZY and Metallica headlining–will kick off August 14 in San Bernardino (the birthplace of the first OZZFest in 1996) and then make stops in Chicago, IL, Hartford, CT, Camden, NJ, Pittsburgh, PA and Boston, MA.
The main stage will feature full sets from Ozzy, Mötley Crüe and Rob Halford (who last appeared on OZZFest in 2004 with Judas Priest), performing songs from his solo career along with material from Judas Priest and Fight. DevilDriver and Nonpoint will round out the main stage line-up. Second stage headliners and six-time OZZFest veterans Black Label Society will be joined by Drowning Pool, Kingdom of Sorrow, and Goatwhore, Skeletonwitch, Saviours and Kataklysm.
Each OZZFest date will include 13 bands on two stages with music beginning at 1:00 PM. In addition, concert-goers can once again visit the OZZFest “Village of the Damned” featuring a mix of interactive activities, shopping and entertainment throughout the venue concourses.
These OZZFest dates mark the first concerts in the U.S. in connection with the June 15 release of SCREAM (Epic Records), the OZZFest’s founder’s first album in three years and 10th studio album overall. OZZY’s band consists of his OZZY’s new guitar player, Gus G., bassist Blasko, drummer Tommy Clufetos and keyboardist Adam Wakeman.
The 2010 OZZFEST dates are as follows:
DATE CITY VENUE
Sat, Aug 14 San Bernardino, CA San Manuel Amphitheater
Tue, Aug 17 Chicago, IL First Midwest Bank Amp.
Thurs, Aug 19 Pittsburgh, PA First Niagara Pavilion
Sat , Aug 21 Hartford, CT Comcast Theater
Sun, Aug 22 Camden, NJ Susquehanna
Tue, Aug 24 Boston, MA Comcast Center
Pretty meh lineup if you ask me. |

Fail for Gus G. not pulling double duty and bringing Firewind on board. Seriously, that would've been WAY fucking better than fucking Nonpoint or Devildriver. Or Drowning Pool. Or Kingdom of Sorrow. |
Skeletonwitch blew up really fast... I don't even think it was three years ago I saw them at the Living Room and they were saying it was the first time they'd played Rhode Island when I'd never heard of them. |
Don't care about any of this. |
I'm gonna go and surreptitiously pee on people. |
Wow. I knew this was going to suck, but my expectations have been blown out of the water. |
I'd go for kataklysm and skeletonwitch. And did zakk wylde quit ozzys band? Or was he fired? |
Wow - this just looks awful. And I'm surprised at BLS being on this cause it seemed it went from angry break-up to nothing happened, so who knows. |
Halford ftw. Live album makes. Even the straightest amongst us want to suck his dongerdidooo |
Crue and Halford would be nice to catch. Never seen MC before and I'd like to before they call it quits for good, Mick Mars seems to be in pretty rough shape these days.
& ditto on the Firewind comment. |
Halford, Crue, then Ozzy is DEFINITELY something I could drink to |
Can Mick Mars actually still stand up? |
Anyone remember the year that Neurosis played? Man, that ruled. |
shitty line up is shitty, im not impressed |
I haven't gone to one of these in nearly 12 years or so. I remember seeing Pantera and Fear Factory at one of the earlier ones. The lineups were better the first few years, but started to suck heavily in 98 or 99. It's funny how they incorporated more "extreme" metal lately - although 75% of this line up sucks. Devildriver? Do they even have a fanbase? Anyone that likes that band needs to be shot in the face
Halfords the only good thing on the bill and hes G G G GAY!!!!!! SUCKFEST 2010! |
shitty line up is shitty, im not impressed |
Fact. +50 truth points |
Went in '99 for Sabbath, Slayer & Primus. Smoked a lot of joints and played hackey sack during the shit bands like Syndrome of a Down. Made out with my wife for the first time. Fun show, good memories, no need to go back and ruin that. |

I mean this line-up is not even good enough to go just to see underage fat metal chicks show off their cleavage. |

Got offered a $10 ticket and figured, why the hell not! haha |

10 bucks for Halford and Motley Crue? I'm sold!
Seeing Gus G with Ozzy will be interesting to say the least.
Devildriver played the first metal show I ever went to, so they hold a special place in my heart.
Nonpoint will be funny. |
doubt I'll make it in time for the side stage. |
Crue + Halford + Goatwhore + my buddies playing in Kingdom of Sorrow + not paying = my lazer will burn hott |
egad. the last year i went was 2000 when Pantera played. i can't believe Nonpoint still exists. |

I bought a lawn ticket for $10. I'm not a huge fan of any of the bands, but I'm sure it'll be fun anyways. Mostly looking forward to Kingdom of Sorrow. |
Side stage is the only thing worth seeing...although I'm sure I'll stick around for Halford and the rest...free tickets rule! |
I want free or $10 tickets |
I'll be giving away 2 pairs of tickets to the 2010 Ozzfest (Tuesday, Agaust 24th at the Comcast Center) at the Born of Fire nights on August 5th (DEATHAMPHETAMINE and Blessed Offal) and August 19th (Abnormality and !!!TENTACLES!!!). Thanks to Live Nation New England for providing them! I'm not sure how I'll be giving them away just yet but come to the shows and find out!

egad. the last year i went was 2000 when Phil Anselmo sat on stage for an hour talking about drinking beer, eating pussy and smoking weed. KINGS'AH HEAVY FUCKIN' METAL. i can't believe Nonpoint still exists. |

I don't think you really like metal at all you're just pretending. |
although Devildriver isnt the most well liked or a heaviest metal band ... they are still in fact a metal band.
also i've made this argument before but IMHO they would have been a far more credible and well-received band if they did not enlist Dez to do vocals. |
Or if their band name wasn't completely retarded.
Just sayin'. |
"Fafara's wife had a book by Italian witchcraft author Raven Grimassi on Stregheria, and came across the term 'devil driver'. The term 'devil driver' refers to bells Italian witches used to drive evil forces away. "
seems pretty neat to me.
