Wow, glad this was an official "Sundance Film Festival Selection". Good thing it doesn't look like somebody's Film I project at all. Lots of thought went into that.
saw it, it was alright. lot of stupid buildup. some parts were funny. i dunno. gratuitous zombie/horror movies never did much for me. MG mounted on a snowmobile was cool
JimBoarcorpse saved me a half hour of my life by summing up the beginning of the movie and starting it from the action. I thought it was fucking great from that point on.
when i show it to all my friends, i START the movie at the scene in the cabin when they get attacked. All 35min before that is fucking awful. If you start it from there, people really like it.. although it becomes a 45min movie.

i dunno i thought the beginning was necessary for character building. seems like most movies dont bother doing that anymore

Character building? Tom, you GOT to be kidding me. There was little to no difference between any of the four dudes, and the 3(4) women. I'm sorry, but the reason most people thought it was just ok was the first 35min sucked dong, and was boring as shit. It tried to be dramatic, but came accross as just stupid. You can't have brains drop on the floor and have the first thing someone says be "we should have gone to the beach" in a whiny tone, and STILL have all the slow, quite dramatic parts.

well i guess we are just gonna have to agree to disagree here. i understand what you are saying but i still enjoyed it regardless.
good call.... and don't get me wrong, i DEFINITELY enjoyed the movie. I thought it was awesome actually, i just watched from 35min in.

hahaha i def know what ya mean though...the first part was slow but like you said it would have just been a 45 minute movie otherwise. i like the camerawork depicting the grim landscapes tho.. plus it showcased how fucking wierd the norweigans are.
*on a side note i have a show opportunity for ya. let me know how you'd prefer to discuss it.
call me! i STILL don't have your new number saved.
really?? i typed it into your phone myself lol. although i think we were both pretty fucked up at the time. i'll give you a ring tonight while i'm at practice.

I liked this. Nice use of intestines/entrails. Sick snowmobile. Norwegian broads. Blood. Loved the scene with old man, glad to see some people are still making movies where smoking cigarettes is badass, good job guy.
