i think going 11-5, with the brady injury and all the injuries on the defense, and almost making the playoffs is only slightly less impressive than last season's 16-0 record.

would've loved to have seen the pats in the 'offs, but i still think it's a successful season

maybe "wasted" was a poor choice of words. but to put in all that hard work and not a get a chance to prove ourselves in the playoffs just seems so wrong...especially when teams with 8-8 records got in. frustrating is probably a more apt word.

yeah, it sucks to see teams like the chargers and cardinals get in with shitty records, and i keep hearing people complain (not you) about who want the rules changed, but if a division title didn't guarantee a playoff spot, what would be the point of divisions?

hell, in the nba, some of the worst western conference teams would be in the playoffs if they were in the east. divisions and conferences in sports will never be balanced and there will always be good teams left out of the postseason and undeserving teams getting to the playoffs, but it just has to be that way. it is really frustrating but i haven't seen a better alternative.
