So I convinced my office to let us upgrade all our post production software. Cool. They shelled out for the Adobe Creative Suite CS3 package. Sweet. I was excited about it so I sent out an e-mail telling the people I work with about the upgrade, and all the new things we could accomplish with it. Not the best move.
Remember that guy I always complain about? Well now he wants me to "sit down" with him and "peek over his shoulder" for "just a few minutes" while he "re-learns the technology." This is a blowhard way of saying he'd like me to bare witness to him trying to catch up on 2 decades of post production technology in a display of pure concentrated failure.
Like 6 months ago he asked me to "remind him" how to capture video using Premiere Pro. He used Final Cut Pro (I can only imagine what version) for a couple classes in college which, given the fact that he's learned absolutely nothing since, might as well have been a million years ago. So reminding him turned into teaching him which turned into me leaving him alone for a half hour while he somehow deleted someone else's actually important project... which in turn turned into me taking time out of my work to do it for him.
