dood was going through some rough shit with his kid last year. i give the guy credit because boston is tough place to weather the storm, when unsuccessful. most doods would have folded, either moved on, or been irreparably damaged by the media, we have see it before. he did as i recall, have a clutch bomb or two, last post season. im glad he's doing well.. |
I wasn't thrilled about the acquisition of Drew last year but this year, he's really fitting in the lineup. I think for a lot of new Red Sox players, it takes a season or 2 to get used to the market here. |
fuck all that bullshit, the dood has dropped anchor on two teams and bailed, he's getting 17million a season he needs to produce like he is now.
that middle of the line up is a lot more dangerous now when Manny and Ortiz comes back. Uk is hitting, Lowell is hitting and Drew is finally showing that he's not Trot Nixon with a higher price tag.
and fucking Masterson that kid can hurl man |
our two corner outfielders = best players ever to give 80% |
earning your retarded contract.

the lugo deal is WAY worse. 9 mil/year, already 14 errors this season, and he hasn't hit a home run yet. drew's 07 was kind of an aberration, all his numbers were below his career averages. i'd chalk it up to switching leagues, getting adjusted to the boston media, and the sick son (not necessarily in that order). also, signing drew probably made it easier to sign matsuzaka, considering they're both boras clients. |
oh yeah i in no way condone signing Lugo, and Gonzo is actually not only fielding but is hitting for the Reds so that was a top notch move for Theo. |
no you sir, will never die. |
i donno but i own some fast gokarts in florida u should come check them out they are awesome like my mostash |

Of course I wanna get high you foolish yenta. |
FACT: I missed numerous flights with the Red Sox, as did Keith Foulke, beacuse we were too coked up. |
anyone wanna take a stab at what im famous for? |
As a scholar of the game of baseball, it is understood that your fame is a result of being attacked by fans about 6 years ago. |
manny rameerus has been one of the top hitters in baseball for quite some time |
yes jon, manny has a very high batting average, which means he has a high number of hits per at bat |
i guess you could call that manny being manny! |
my mostash is better then remdogs. i talked 2 him last nite and we had mostash battles |
Mark Bellhorn is ok all the rest can go home now.
id like to see a cage match between Mike Greenwell, Bruno, Scott Fletcher and Scott Cooper.
Steve Lyons gets the winner |
im back bobby and i want youuuuuuuuu. 1...2...................3 ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh |
I'm pretty sure I've never seen a baseball player have a month quite like this. He's hitting for power, for average, getting on base, and driving in runs. Plus, his fielding hasn't suffered at all. It's unreal. |
I should've said Red Sox player... |
No..lol
I love Nixon, but clearly Drew has taken it up a few notches. I just hope he can keep this up, especially after Ortiz comes back. |
dood im sorry but fuck Trot Nixon, you could have spent Dewey to the outfield and even at his age he'd have put Trot's stats.
Drew has just put in a Nixon season and its not even the end of the first half yet. if he keeps this up totally eating my words on him being a waste of money.
shits scary son i mean.....
Ortiz
Rameriz
Lowell
Youkillis
Drew
that shit will fuck you up, WE FUCKS YOU UPS WE TAKES THE SERIES. |
Don't forget Pedroia and Ellsbury. |
and also continue to forget about Lugo...er, whoops. |
now the question is, once ortiz comes back from his injury, does he go into the 3 slot? if drew's still hitting like this, i don't know if i could do that. |

I'd say if it were anyone else but Ortiz, then you keep Drew there, but you have the perfect situation with Manny hitting behind Ortiz. I say you move Drew back to the 5 slot (where he was when he was originally signed), or maybe even move him to the 2 and move Pedroia down to 7 behind Youk. I think J.D. would be GREAT at the 2. With Ortiz behind him, he'd see A TON of fastballs. |

drew at 2 does seem like an interesting idea, especially considering pedroia's low obp. but we also have to consider the notion that ortiz might need some time to get his swing back once he starts playing again. if drew is still locked in, i'd say keep him at 3 for a week or so, then do some lineup shuffling. |

Interesting point. I could see that happening. The more I think of it, once Ortiz comes back at full strength again, moving him to 2 would be better, and if Drew starts to fall off again, just put the lineup back to normal with Drew at the 6 or 7 and Pedroia at the 2. |

When I was a lil kid, Greenwell was my favorite player.
Also, when Lugo finally gets the boot, they'll probably bring up Jed Lowrey. |
actually i doubt it dan, with the wait theyve got with Lugo he'll probably be trade bait unless they can find someone who wants a SS with horrible fielding and no bat. |
