Anyone else pick this up yesterday? So far the game looks amazing. It's the first game I've bought since I built my computer that I have not been able to max out all the video settings. Right now I have everything set to medium, and it STILL looks better than every other game I have.

I hope it's better than farcry, gameplay-wise. Farcry was one of the worst games I've ever played.

I haven't played farcry, so I cannot answer that. However, the suit-powers make it a lot more fun than a typical first person shooter for me. And I like how the environment is totally interactive, like you can shoot trees and they fall over and kill the guy standing under them, etc....

There's a lot of new games that look great, but after reading reviews, etc..., they sound pretty gay. I like fps games, but the plain vanilla ones tend to bore the shit out of me. I need me a gravity gun, some plasmids, or some other game element that makes me feel superior to my enemies. That's why I chose crysis: all the bad guys are Korean.

I want to play this game so bad. I neither have the time nor patience, or the willingness to put so much money into a computer just to play a video game. I have been doing that for a year on my recording computer and now that it's perfect I don't want to go and redo it for a game. Yes I know I suck but I will wait for the 360 port.

I hate FPS' or should I say I used too. A long time ago I played Alien Trilogy for the PS1 on a 20inch crt and got so violently sick that I never played a FPS again, until I downloaded Bioshock and was blown away. I guess for me it has something to do with the size of the TV. (I have a really big one now) So I went on an FPS hunt to see which games I like. That would be NONE! I've tried quite a few from Condemned to Resitance, nothing offered what Bioshock has. I agree with you Pete, the game has to have plasmids, and engineering tonics for me to be interested in it!
