New site? Maybe some day.
|
I leave for Vegas for a week in exactly 1 month. The hotel room is free so I'll probably have some extra money to spend. Any of yous guys ever been out there, or heard of anything I should check out while I'm there? |
|
if i ever go to vegas i'm gonna end up either in handcuffs or a pinebox. |

Anyone ever told you you should be a travel agent? |

Yup, check out the speariment rhino and the crazy horse... two fine establishments.
I stayed at NY-NY (the one with the rollar coaster) across from the MGM/Luxor.
I'd recommend the water show and the old section (cheaper table/drinks in the afternoon). Stay away from the weirdos. We got accused of beating a hooker. The greatest line of the night was " they beat me. they choked me. they wont even pay for my cab fare!" Luckily for us, there are cameras everywhere so our story was verified by security and we were released.
OH yeah, don't get too hammered on the first night.. you'll spend the rest of the time in a hangover haze. Save the binge drinking for the last couple nights. |
|
are you doing that tahiti village deal? |
|
Old Las Vegas is cool and they have lots of free stuff to do.
Criss Angel is now at the Luxor, I don't know if you're into magic but that show would be great to see live. (if he's even doing a show) or Lance Burton at the Monte Carlo ($$$$$)
but the one thing i should say is just no when to quit gambling bring a few hundred for gambling and when thats gone try NOT to touch any of your other money and you should have a good time. When I went to Florida and played the slots I had good results with that technique ( although I didn't have hundreds of dollars with me you get the idea.) |
|
dig a hole, find a hooker, bury the hooker in the hole.
only thing to do out there.
I heard there's a couple casinos, but that's about it. |
|
you should stay out there til Aug 25th....UFC 74 is at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. Randy Couture Vs. Gabriel Gonzaga is the main event, I would kill to see that fight in person, Actually the whole event card is pretty cool. |
|
Vegas was still fun even though I don't drink or gamble. Also, the strip clubs in Providence are WAY better. Crazy Horse and Spearmint Rhino are boring in comparison. But hey, it's still tits. |
|
Yeah I've heard old Vegas is the shit. I don't know what the hell a tahiti village is, but if they serve Pad Thai why not.
Keep em coming |
|
Spearmint Rhino... that cracks me up. |

Is there some kind of under 12 strip club that people don't know about in Providence?
|
|
I never went to old vegas when I went. :(
I stayed in the Luxor. Pretty cool. I also saw 0 shows. Basically I was just in the casinos and strip clubs. Nearly all of the strip clubs are topless only FYI. The ones that are all nude I believe were grandfathered in and do not serve alcohol, which is weird (to drinkers).
I also went to that roller coaster shit on top of that hotel down the strip a ways. (there's like 5 rides, the roller coaster one looked shitty and I didn't go on it). I'd recommend that. The view is awesome. 2 days after I got back I saw on the news people danging over Nevada fearing for their lives as the same ride I was on two days ago was broken and everyone needed to be rescued. haha |

Used to know a guy who did that when he was 16 (cut her head off, too). He got out when he was thirty- or forty-something and started tattooing all the ne'er-do-wells around Boston for five minutes. Then he killed somebody else, and back to the can he went. |

I wish.
You can generally get away with a lot more in Providence. |
|
lay full odds behind the pass / don't pass line, and come / don't come. do this enough and run good and you should be able to afford all the hookers and blow you can handle. obviously somewhere in here you are going to have to buy a shovel, a map, a machete, and rent a vehicle. |

what do you mean "lay full odds"? I've never played craps before, and I'm trying to learn for this trip. |
|
Avoid these people:
Grissom always follows the evidence. |
|
been there but can't really shed any light on what to do or where to go as I was just wingin' it...
drinking, drugging and NOT gambling...except for some Hold 'Em. |
|
The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is pretty awesome, kinda pricey, But what in vegas isn't? |
|
The $5 off of the strip Buffets.
But remember YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
Any sit down/ Food Court place in the Venetian is awesome.
We went to the Grand Lux Cafe (aka Cheesecake Factory) just about everyday we were there. |
