New site? Maybe some day.

ok, I just got here. the parking lot is full of screaming kids. |
|
The Hills of Hayden: missed them take 2? I showed up and they were loading out. If I'm not mistaken, I missed their first show last time I came down.
if i had eyes: they were suppose to play a show that I was going to come down and see, but I don't remember them play. They were really good though. Sort of like a death-core version of old OBW. They had a keyboardist who injected random sounds like star-bursts and other synths that the mercury switch uses. The crowd loved them and there were even a few sing along parts.
StevenOTB, book these guys at drifters. While they were playing, all I could think of is that you guys would play well with each other. |

it's odd shooting here because unlike every other show I go to, I have the only "pro" camera in thee building. Granted everyone else has their p&s in their hands...
necrosis: hm.. Interesting, this is their last show. Strang cause I've only known of them doing like 2 other shows. I remember them being surprisingly good last time I saw them. Let's see.
now I remember! They sounded like BDM the last time I saw them. I forgot this until the last song which sounded sort of BDM-ish...er.. I say the last song, but they did a couple songs after that. They replayed a song and switched up a few members.
it's funny being at this show cause there are so few cars outside and so many people inside. unless everyone in CT is a "green-friendly" and carpooling, I think mommy and/or papa dropped a lot of them off. it's also funny overhearing all the 15yos saying things like:
"I like being buzzed!"
"oh, I'm not even buzzed yet"
"you're not? me either... I don't think."
the mini-van is going to smell like cigarettes and malt liquor after the 'rents come to pick YA up.
PS: this show is sold out. |

home working on pictures. |
|
oh, and I've seen if I had eyes before.. I forgot cause it was last year at drifters with 230480412 other bands. |
|
i can't wait until ipsissimus urges one of such children to suicide |
|
hm.... I like you ideas. do you have a e-newsletter?
they and the children: I have no idea when the last time I saw them was. probably the roller kingdom show. I know that the singer, brian, used to put on killer shows in storrs @ UCONN.. I think he stopped doing that like 2-3 years ago now. Anyhow, this band is awesome. Sounds a lot like hope con, drawblood, etc.. You know, the stuff that I wish was actually labeled "post-hardcore". It's angry and loud, but all the hardcore kids probably find it very hard to dance to. no breakdowns. not 2 step. |

on paths of torment: their CD was so good. It's too bad when lou went with ION, the band faded. honestly, I never knew that they even did do a "last" show. any how, looking at the reaction that the kids gave them there, they were missed and all the people there seemed glad that they were back. People were pushed forward so a cunhc of the crowd was in front of or on top of the monitors. Needless to say, the people's bodies didn't allow much sound to get back to the band and even more needless to say, the peoples feet made short work of the cables that carry the electrical impulses to the monitors in the first place. The sound dude kept running and changing things, but it didn't do much good for too long. they played a new song and ended with age of oak. people kept yelling for other songs.. but they stopped there. |

THAT SHOW WAS SO LAME, WASTE OF MY TIME. ON PATHS OF TORMENT SHOULD BREAK UP AGAIN |
|
the only drawback to this show were the dicks ruining the pit, who werent at all on paths of torment fans. they only came to get wasted and ruin the good time for everyone else by running into each other. |
