Sapremia: like I said yesterday, a smaller venue would be the best place to see these guys in. ralph's, given the shadey neighborhood and the fact that ralph's doesn't have a large draw, this was awesome. The club has spent big bucks on the stage/sound system so sapremia sounded great. I highly support the idea of them playing o'briens. they sound like immolation with vader vocals.. at least that's what I say.
Of The Betrayed: during their sound check, they looked like kids messing around in a grade school band. Each person playing somethng completely different and not looking at what the other people were doing. this was compounded by the fact that one of the mics wasn't working. When the mic did start working, they got on their way. The guys from heretic hybrid went crazy for them with a little bit of dancing. This venue is some sort of umass lowell meat market so the back of the place is all just skanked up girls and gino'd guys. (i tried to get mcracken to strut his stuff down the cat walk to the bathroom). During OTB, some of them came up, thinking watching the metak band was probably a "hoot." I got some good mess around time with my oooold d100 during their set. Yeah! but then I was like "oh no" cause a cup of water rocked off a ledge and went right in to my bag.
Sorry, that was my water rev. I haven't played one show there where I didn't spill a cup of water, whether it was my fault or not. This time it wasn't, it just kinda fell.
A big thanks to OTB for getting us on this show in a pinch. turnout could have been better, but that sound was top notch. Thanks to the Rev for hitting us up with the pics and SUPER KIND words. We will be back up soon! Overall a good week for us. If anyone missed out on any merch., PM here and we can get some to you.
heretic hybrid: the sounded so much better than I've ever heard from them. The singers voice is really good and at some points reminded me of Entombed. Something happened to one of the guitarists set ups and they stopped 1/2 way through their set. I think the singer's brain was melted at that point anyhow.
