I almost bought this game too...
what do people (and by people I mean spalding) know about this?

My brother already beat it, mainly because he had two days off of work and couldn't stop playing it. I just played it for 2 hours, its fucking awesome.

Castlevania has only had 3 crappy games in its entire exsistence... the two N64 games and one regular gameboy one. thats about it.

Ok, as far as series' go, the Megaman series is by far the best. 42 games and only 3 suck (Battle Network, Battle Network 2, Megaman Soccer). That means that 13/14 of the games kick ass. A close 2nd is obviously the Zelda series of course, which has 14 games and 13 suck (13/14 again, assuming that the ones I havn't played are good, which they probably are). But I digress. Megaman is the best...ever...period(dis ting->.)

only the original?! GO OUT AND BUY CASTLEVANIA: SYMPHONY OF THE NIGHT FOR THE ORIGINAL PLAYSTATION... THATS THE BEST ONE EVER. all the GBA ones are amazing, castlevania 4 is amazing, 1,2,3... all amazing, 5 is ok but not as good as its pc counterpart Rondo of Blood... oh and about X4... X4 is really good, X5 was good , X6 was ok, X7 = poop, the Megaman Zero games for GBA... SO hard but SO good. now in terms of music... its like a tie. the X series has always had great music (especially the original) and Castlevania has always had good music. come to think of it... the megaman power fighters games are good and the music in the second is really good. i know too much about games :(

the graphics in the fight scenes are a little silly looking...
but it seems ok.

Yeah, the graphics aren't what they could be from Konami, but the game is great. The hidden mode after you beat is awesome too.

what is the best weapon to use with these two orbs?
I'm using the yellow+axe right now.
for the longest time, I was rocking the cross with no orbs.
I sort of want to go back to that...
but then the blue orb+axe rocked.
yellow orb+ax = ok...

yellow orb+diamond = way too many hearts.

I used the axe through the whole game. When you get the green orb, it's really good, I think it's in the garden. And the elemental whips are great too.

I only have the alchemy whip...
I just bought the $2000 armor before I fell asleep.

i've gotten 1 heart increase and 1 hp increase.
I think I'm missing out on some secrets.

Castlevania was incredible. too short sadly but worth renting and playing and beating in the 5 days you have it

So Rev, how far are you now?

not bad.
sseing as I usually play between 3-5am.
I've beet 3 stages, got the flame whip, got the red/blue/yellow orbs.
I still only have 1 relic though.
seems like I'm missing a lot of things.
I also have to learn that I must save more often cuase I end up dying and loosing a lot all the time.

yeah, the relics are a pain in the ass, most of them are dropped by enemies. a lot of the health things are later in the game though, and they're kinda hard to miss.

that jump attack thing rocks.
it totally blew the golum away.

the combos get really cool once you learn the air attack.

that vampire that looks like me is dead.

now, I need to find the ice whip

I went back to get the ice hip and white orb.

Hes pretty tough. You need a lot of potions and the stuff that takes away poison and curse.

that mirage skeleton thing pissed me off.

Nice I scored Castlevania: Lament of Innocence for the holiday. I have to many games I want to beat now, plus I'll get a few more at best buy tomorrow, a few greatest hits games.
