For all of you from or near CT, this Saturday is The Fourth Annual Outdoor Metal Bash; every year we do an outdoor concert with tons of booze and herb, this year the bands are Suicide Dream, Sacreligion, The Accursed, and NJ's The Grieving Process. The music starts at 4 pm so make sure to get there early. Admission is $10 and that INCLUDES ALCOHOL (there will be Bud, Whiskey, and Jello Shots available).

It will be taking place in Mansfield (Northeastern CT, less than twenty miles south of the Massachussetts border). This is a semi-private party with people only being invited personally by the bands and here through return to the pit, so the street address will not be posted publicly. If you are interested in attending, call me at (860) 450-1548 for all the details.

Our annual summer tradition of metal, booze, and herb, I can't wait...

toggletoggle post by Man_of_the_Century at Aug 25,2006 2:11pm
There will also be a special guest apperence by the Man of the Century himself.

Autographs are $20 a piece.

I'm guessing no CT metalfest this year?

toggletoggle post by Sacreligion at Aug 25,2006 2:16pm
this is mini-CT metal fest

toggletoggle post by ShadowSD  at Aug 25,2006 2:17pm edited Aug 25,2006 2:19pm
The 2006 CT MetalFest will be at The Outdoor Pavilion on Saturday, October 28.

But that's a while off so come to this first, unlike any other concert this show has free booze!

toggletoggle post by Man_of_the_Century at Aug 25,2006 2:21pm
And me.

toggletoggle post by Man_of_the_Century at Aug 25,2006 2:23pm
Shadow, What time do you want people to show up?

toggletoggle post by ShadowSD  at Aug 25,2006 2:26pm
Well I'm asking the bands to get there at 3:30 (that's if you're riding down with Sac).

For everyone else, 4 pm.

toggletoggle post by Man_of_the_Century at Aug 25,2006 2:29pm
I'm probably riding up with them, so I'll see you then.

toggletoggle post by ShadowSD  at Aug 25,2006 2:45pm
Cool.

toggletoggle post by ShadowSD  at Aug 25,2006 2:47pm
For those who came to see us at Rox's a couple weeks where they cut our last song, we WILL be doing Disposable Heroes at the party to make up for it.

toggletoggle post by Sacreligion at Aug 25,2006 2:47pm
damn straight!

hey shadow are people allowed to stay the night if necessary?

toggletoggle post by Man_of_the_Century at Aug 25,2006 2:48pm
How bout "Green Man"?

PPPPLLLLEEEEAAAASSSSEEEE????

toggletoggle post by Sacreligion at Aug 25,2006 2:49pm
agreed

toggletoggle post by ShadowSD  at Aug 25,2006 2:51pm
We're also going to be busting out some covers that we've never done before by Megadeth, Metallica, Ozzy, Guns N'Roses, as well as two songs by Type O Negative that we'll be playing out for the first time.

toggletoggle post by Sacreligion at Aug 25,2006 2:52pm
do we have to wait to find out which ones?

also, is laurel gonna be there for this one?

toggletoggle post by ShadowSD  at Aug 25,2006 2:53pm
Greenman, hmmm, we haven't played it in a couple years, but if you guys request it at the party while we're up there we'll probably give it a shot.

It makes for a better surprise.

I haven't heard anything one way or the other.

If necessary, yes, I could make room for a few people. (I've been trying to stay away from advertising this as an all night thing though, because I wouldn't have room for everybody)

toggletoggle post by Sacreligion at Aug 25,2006 2:59pm
well now i'm anxious to see what you guys are gonna play...should be awesome

call her up and say "get your fucking ass there, if not, you will be sacked"

toggletoggle post by ShadowSD  at Aug 25,2006 3:13pm edited Aug 25,2006 3:14pm
I should, but that could backfire, we have a whole press kit ready to go out to record labels with her out front, if we sack her we'd have to scrap the whole thing and start at square one. Cynthia is doing a great job filling in, but I don't think she has a reliable enough track record to take over permanently, and I don't know anyone else who could pull off what Laurel does half as well. I'm just hoping her wave of short sightedness passes soon and we can put this all behind us, that's why I didn't say a word about this whole situation publicly yet, I was hoping it would blow over before anyone had to hear about the jaded superficiality of her poor decision making.

toggletoggle post by Sacreligion at Aug 25,2006 3:24pm
meh...to each their own

i'll chloroform her and drag her there

that oughta do the trick

toggletoggle post by ShadowSD  at Aug 25,2006 3:26pm
Me and my overanalysis, why didn't I think of that?

toggletoggle post by ShadowSD  at Aug 25,2006 3:27pm
Oh, I forgot to mention, we will also be doing a cover of Planet Caravan w/Dimebag solo.

toggletoggle post by Sacreligion at Aug 25,2006 3:28pm
i try to do things in the simplest way possible and deal with the consequences later

toggletoggle post by ShadowSD  at Aug 25,2006 3:30pm
Ah, the Presidential approach.

toggletoggle post by Sacreligion at Aug 25,2006 3:34pm
similar, but by far on a much larger scale

toggletoggle post by ShadowSD  at Aug 25,2006 5:30pm
One more thing, we will also be doing some originals that we haven't played out in a couple years like The Serpent's Mark and Silent Cage.

Does anyone know The Grieving Process's website? Pam?

toggletoggle post by ShadowSD  at Aug 25,2006 7:46pm
OK, I looked it up, they don't have their own domain but they do have a myspace site:

http://www.myspace.com/thegrievingprocess

toggletoggle post by ShadowSD  at Aug 26,2006 9:59am

toggletoggle post by ShadowSD  at Aug 26,2006 11:56am
I'm trying to get a final head count so I can make an appropriate packie run, so anyone else interested in coming should give me a call ASAP.

toggletoggle post by pam   at Aug 26,2006 1:49pm
The Accursed have one guest with them, they're en route now.

toggletoggle post by Sacreligion at Aug 27,2006 4:03am
