Lawrence is a complete shithole. The last time we played there (probably 4 years ago), my bass player and drummer went to walk to the store to get smokes. Mistake. A carload of Ricans, Mexicans or whatver they were started circling the block and yelling at them. When the car stopped just up the street, they turned around and wisely decided to drive to the store.

I'll give you that GBV is far worse than Main South is in reguards to overall crappiness... But if you get in trouble in GBV and run for 3 minutes in the valley, you are out of it and reletivly safe. When you run for 3 minutes in Main South, You go from King St to Pedmont St and you're still fucked. |
