sorry, I was thinking rebel extravaganza as their worst.
their best was nemisis devina

toggletoggle post by pam   at Aug 13,2006 4:07pm
Oh yeah Rebel wasn't great.

I've liked all their CDs. Nemesis Divina was the best. Rebel was alright, it had this nice filthiness to it, awesome lyrics, and the best title ever.

toggletoggle post by pam   at Aug 13,2006 4:24pm
My favorite part of Satyricon is the filthiness.

I like the music of satyricon

toggletoggle post by deodiummortis  at Aug 13,2006 7:14pm
I still like them, the old them.

toggletoggle post by DrinkHardThrashHard  at Aug 14,2006 8:02am
I just hate their video. Complete with posing and emo girls (and bois).

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Aug 14,2006 12:55pm
some of the newer stuff i've had difficulty getting into, however Rebel Extravaganza is fucking fantastic, it takes many listenings to grasp it. but you cant deny Dark Medieval Times, The Shadowthrone or Nemesis Divina. those are untouchable.

toggletoggle post by DrinkHardThrashHard  at Aug 14,2006 1:17pm
I appreciate the latest two records for their simplicity and effectiveness. I mean it's fishy that the timing for this simplicity coincided with their signing to a big label, but once they put out their 'Load' or 'Cryptic Warnings' I'll be the first to vomit all over it.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Aug 14,2006 1:21pm
hahahaha its beginning to brush that surface, and i really hope that they dont plummet over the edge.

toggletoggle post by DrinkHardThrashHard  at Aug 14,2006 1:23pm
We'll probably know next album. It'll either go over that edge, or they'll revert to their grim and kvlt selves ala Shadowthrone.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Aug 14,2006 1:25pm
that would be most excellent.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Aug 14,2006 1:25pm
not the plummeting into stardom part
