This album is amazing...

THIS is what I want to hear when I hear the word metalcore. Punishing hardcore/thrash with a black/death edge.

One of the best I've heard this year.

Maybe I'll have to pick this up. I bought there first album but thought it was kind of mediocre. But I thought they were pretty good last week with Suffocation.

Looking forward to getting this CD.

The 2nd album was better than the first, and this is better than the 2nd. It's more accessible I guess, it'll probably make them huge and by next year we'll hate their guts. But that doesn't take away from the fact that this album is a hell of a lot of fun.

i thought funeral dirge was great, looking forward to this one too.

I have to post my review.. but goatwhore is so good cause they mix some goregrind/crust punk bass/drum parts with black/death metal parts and then mix in this slow southern black metal. when ever I hear them break into a slow part, all I can think about is new orleans and interview with a vampire.

Goatwhore is just awesome. They will buy Microsoft in 5 years.

Definatly better than Suffocation! However i dunno about the new album, the newer songs they were playing last week didnt sound too much different than the stuff off Funeral Dirge. There was a good transition between the 1st and second album, i was really hoping theyd do the same with this album too. But hey i havent actually heard the cd yet so.......

I bought the 2nd album at the Suffocation show -- fucking great. Not technical, but nice flowing song structure and I love the thrashy, hardcorish parts. It hasn't really left the CD player in the truck. I can't wait to hear the new one.

I bought the second album at their show in Portland the other night. The show was sick and I dig the album.. can't wait until Sept for the new one.

That is exactly why I like them, they are capable of writing great songs without much technicality.
