Hewhocorrupts Inc. is extremely thrilled to announce 7000 Dying Rats to its roster. 7000 Dying Rats will release its first full-length in over five years, entitled Season In Hell, on November 6, 2006.
7000 Dying Rats' brand of comedic grindcore can be summed up with many key marketable terms; diversified, mitigating, volatile, efficient, etc. When explaining the 7KDR sound to an unnamed photographer, screamer Toney Vast-Binder explained, "we kinda sound like this pizza that I'm eating, I guess you can classify us as garbage grind". The group's penchant for delivering extremely eclectic music while holding on to their comedic roots has confusingly scored the group a well-attentive audience (blood) thirsty for a new record.
Their lineup over the past 10+ years has remained as sporatic as their sound, including members of Cattle Decapitation, My Lai, TV Pow, and many more. The current lineup consists of Steve Rathbone and D.J. Barraca (Lair of the Minotaur), Toney Vast-Binder (Gun Kata), Josh Diebel (The Christpunchers), and Weasel Walter (Flying Luttenbachers, XBXRX) with additional work on the record contributed by Scott Kelly (Neurosis). 7KDR's abundant discography includes two full-lengths, a triple 7" box set, two 7"s, two tapes, and countless compilations on a wide variety of record labels, including Toyo, Tumult, Invisible, etc.
Season In Hell is currently being recorded at Volume Studios (Lair of the Minotaur, Modern Life Is War, Pelican) with Sanford Parker. When asked about the signing, Andy Slania and Ryan Durkin of Hewhocorrupts Inc concluded, "We are very excited to be a part of the future of 7000 Dying Rats. Hewhocorrupts would not be a band or have the sound that we do if it wasn't for them. I think it is important to for everyone to hear another 7000 Dying Rats record. Besides the fact that we feel like strippers on ecstacy just knowing one is coming out. This is a controlled composition. But make no mistake this will be a 7000 Dying Rats record, unchanged and the way they and they alone envision it." |

that band is ridiculous
I have "Fanning the Flames of Fire" I think it's called. I can't stand it, but I used to live with a girl that loved it. |
|
I always see their stuff in the used bins at Newbury Comics |

If it was the Jewbury in Salem it was probably my copy.
That record sucks.
They used to be good way back when they had a horn section and did Ozzy covers (anyone see 'em at the Causeway about 11 years ago?)
Then they just turned into a boring AC ripoff.

|
don't they have a song called i think anal cunt is gay? i thought they were total ac rip offs but they openly admitted it? |
|
My point was they didn't start out that way. They used to have more of a Naked City kinda sorta thing going on but with an AC sense of humor. Now they're just boring.
They used to do awesome covers of Bark at the Moon and Heaven and Hell. |
|
Also, Weasal Walter sucks at blast beats. Most overrated drummer ever.
I remember playing with Hatewave once and thinking "this band would be totally amazing if they had a good drummer"
|
|
They played a warehouse show in Jamaica Plain in the mid/late 90's. |
|
they have the best song titles. For example, Gary Drug Abusey, and the thought bubble above my head is filled with golden rotating shotguns. |
|
oh yeah, and they were also the band that finally wrote a song called "anal cunt is gay" |
