Well i ended up going to the show. Not many kids were there, and it was odd seeing scene kids driving through my town, and yes rev I take pride in my crappy city even though your radio mostlikely got stolen haha. Overall the show was fun. TBDM was very tight and their drummer is nasty. Ed gein was interesting to watch live although I was dissapointed in seeing them due to them being pretty sloppy. DWD was tight as usual fun set. Premonitons of war, I thought was HORRIBLE. I dont see the hype of this band It was noise live I couldnt even make out the breakdowns. The red chord was a lot of fun I didnt dig their new shit though. Bad parts of the night = getting beat up by a girl, my head still hurts from her punches, but overall it was pretty fun. |

the black dahlia murder: their sund was sick, every riff, every blast beat, you could hear it all. Unfortunately, they didn't have a second microphone. That means the backup vocals weren't there.
ed gein: never seen them, never heard them so this was a surprise. No wonder kids do crazy for them and pull out their hair. It was craziness. I figure it would be some sort of arty grind, but it was so techy and all 3 people sang, including the drummer. Actully, the drummer had an awesome scream. I will definitely head to see these guys again. I wonder if they will ever come to play the show.
deadwater drowning: another awesome set. They played a new 12 minute track that had groovey parts in it and no-fewer than 9 break downs. It was their CD release party.
premonitions of war: not the best pow show I've seen, but damn I can't wait to play their CD on monday night. At one point, the guitar player fell down and was all of a sudden directly infront of me on the floor as I was kneeling.
the red chord: it seems like I've seen and reviewed these guys a lot so I'm not going to re-state all the things that you know about trc. They played a new song and it was slow and they drew it out. They played with two fo the songs cause it was a small crowd of mostly friends. It was fun and I even saw rusted angel finger pointing and singing along.
pictures are uploading now.
I need a few more minutes |
|
yea i had a good time sides that fag in that black shirt in that pic kickin me all the time during the red chord.....ruined my fun until i got up front and sang along but i still had fun nonoftheless....cant wait for the new red chord cd |

Didn't think I was going to make it there on time to get into the show. (80 kids max) but I guess since there were other shows going on last night. At least we chose the right show to be at.
Black Dahlia Murder: Second time seeing them. This time they sounded tons better (THE PA Helped) and they were very tight. Awesome shit. Some of their material reminds me of darkest hour a little. Which is cool.
Ed Gein: Very chaotic, crazyness, all three members doing vocals.
Deadwater Drowning: First time seeing them live, very good musicians. A lot of breakdowns, some of them were really good, but some of them were a little too generic sounding. Their drummer was fun to watch.
Premonitions of War: boring.
The Red Chord: Very fun set compared to the last time I saw them (Middle East, March 2002).. Im glad all the dicks were at other shows in the area. Still tight, Im not sure about the new songs...

Man, this sucks....I couldn't make it to the show because I had college orientation over the weekend and I had to pack, so I thought that the club was going to be filled and I wouldn't be able to get in. Now that I found out that no one really went, I'm pissed as hell. |
|
did anyone else notice how many people had camera's at this show? its getting a little obnoxious. i got nervous even dancing because i didn't want to fuck up somebody's camera. rev, you should be the only one allowed to risk a big expensive camera for some goofy kids dancing |
|
I was afraid the vets were going to go 'nam on us.
scary. |
|
hahaha.
yea, that bartender didn't look too stable... |
|
there was prob around 80 people there so its not like they could have let much more people in... |
