I'm starting to think one of my neighbors is hooking into our electric water heater somehow (is that even possible?). I swear, the fucking thing sounds like it's running all the time, even when no hot water has been used in recent hours. At first, we thought someone was hooked into our electricity, but when we switched off the main circuit, the meter stopped running like it's supposed to. Then we tried turning off every switch, and turned them back on one by one. When we hit the switch for the water heater, the meter went from not moving, to moving twice as fast as any other meter around it.
