Keep pressure on it and get it looked at. The only issue with superglue (and it DOES work, depending on the depth of the wound), is that you end up glueing bacteria INSIDE of the wound....BAD IDEA. It may need some serious debriding to get rid of any tissue that is already dead, and/or dying. Once this is done, and only when it's been done, can the wound be sutured and/or glued properly. You don't want to lose the thumb permanently...have it done right. Remember, you get what you pay for. That's my best advice dude. Don't take a chance on a body part if you want to keep it.
