Reed could be off the board long before 28. I think his stock is hot enough to maybe even put him in the top 20. There are too many question marks on a lot of guys in the 20-32 range, and Reed looks like a sure thing.

I could also see a scenario where Newton and Gabbert come off the board in the top 15, and all the QB needy teams decide to wait till the 2nd to go QB... except for 1 team dumb enough to want to leapfrog everyone, trade into the 28th spot and draft a guy like Kaepernick, Mallett or Dalton. Possible dummies include Tennessee, Washington, Cleveland, Minnesota, and Denver. I think Buffalo will stick with Ryan Fitz contrary to popular opinion.

Teams get nervous because then they have to wait a whole day to draft their franchise QB, so they panic and trade back into the 1st to "get their guy." I will not be surprised if this happens, and the Pats benefit from it.
