Yup my Dad did the same exact thing. then hed get pissed when we went to the music store and im wailin eruption or some gays ass hammer on solo. LOL. i think he got jealous.

That's cool man!! My dad's been to a few shows and he's amazed. The other person that really inspired me to play is my older cousin, he's 10 years older than me. He had all the sweet 80's gear back in the day, always had a couple guitars and at least a half stack (if not more). I always wanted to be just like him as a kid, I guess that's why my 11 year old nephew looks up to me so much, he comes over to a full practice studio in my basement and is in awe, it's really cool to think that I used to be that kid!
