His name is Ron Howard. Ron is a fine choice if you’re looking for sappy, schmaltzy Oscar-bait but it’s hard to imagine him tackling the darker, more horrific elements of The Dark Tower with any success." The Dark Tower is not Lord of The Rings style fantasy, it is horror at it's core. Turning a 7-book horror/fantasy epic into a watered down PG-13 trilogy would be a huge disappointment. That being said, I would still be there opening night in hopes that Howard did it right.
