The main advantage to some people is that when you request a web page the traffic is routed through opera's servers. The page is rendered on the server and then passed on to you as an image instead of a web page. They claim the images can be 90% smaller in terms of data, saving on bandwidth/data usage costs and page load times. No video support is a Fail in my book though. Maybe in the next version...
