Just drop the audio file into your timeline, and cut up your video using either the Cut Tool (C) and the Drag Tool (V), or drop your video clip into the preview window, set your in ( { ) and out ( } ) points and drop it into your timeline piece by piece. If your video clips have audio with them that you don't want to hear... right click + "Unlink" + Deselect it and then click on the audio to delete it.
