Formerly the frontwoman of Upstate NY-based alt-rock band Solace (1993-1994) and gothic-metal outfit Gallows Hill (1998-2005), Anderson's vocal stylings are described as "a cross between Amanda Palmer and the female version of Danzig". Joining forces with Anderson is local legend Leon Rich (http://www.leonrich.com), bassist Melika Fitzhugh, and drummer Renee Solano. Sans Nomenclature performs cover songs in minor keys, paying homage to artists such as Judas Priest, The Rolling Stones, Simon & Garfunkel, and the Finnish metal band Sentenced. Deriving its name from a Kierkegaard quote, the band defies genre (much as Dark Sky Productions shows have always been known for!) and offers something for everyone. Sans Nomenclature debuts at 8:30 PM on Friday, August 21st, at the Dodge Street Bar & Grille in Salem, MA. They are honored to open for local legend Liz Borden, Dirigible Ego, and Soiled Seed. Cover is only $5, and Anderson desires "more support than a good bra" from fellow Industry denizens whose careers she has nurtured over the years. See you at the show!
