Since I saw this thread earlier today ive been looking into this "remake" online every chance I had while I was at work. Ive seen no evidence that suggests that they plan on doing a flat out remake of the Schwarzenegger movie note for note or doing another adaptation of the original short story. I really dont think Philip K Dick wrote the story with the idea of seeing the Austrian Oak at the helm back in 1966, and Im sure he was spinning in his grave when he saw how goofy the movie turned out being. Yet ohh soo good

So who knows maybe their looking into modernizing the original story again, or maybe they've figured out a secret to re-making a Schwarzenegger hit more SchwarzeneggerER, without Schwarzenegger. That I would love to see. That newer Rambo movie definitely restored my faith in revamping the 80's/early 90's, especially considering how silly those movies were back then and how serious that newer one was. If this new total recall sucks Ill probably just start jerking off in the theatre while thinking about how good the original one was, or ill just ignore it like a bad joke and watch the old one again......... while jerking off to Mary. Shes not free but she is available.
