I'm not defending him, the cop is fucked, I've never used a taser or a hand gun, so I dont know how they feel or how easy it would be to confuse them, I guess if he was a really really really shitty cop he could make that mistake, and the only reason I'd be inclined to buy his story is because it was such a HUGE fuck up, in front of a few dozen people, not even a super racist douchey cop would intentionally try that methinks, but that by no means makes it ok

I'd say the cop gets canned and maybe faces manslaughter, probably ends up with a few years in prison

I base this on my extensive knowledge of legal matters that I've learned from watching every episode of law and order that's been on television in the past week...
