Wouldn't it follow that the arabs should have realized that throwing rocks at tanks wasn't a viable battle strategy? And if they couldn't figure that puzzle out, fuck 'em.

Or going back to funding issues, the United States has been the dominant superpower for most of the past 60 or so years and thus in a social Darwinist world view has the might to do what it pleases with its money (and if you think that money belongs to you you're mistaken, the government's power entitles them to all of your earnings in this scenario).
