You can do better than that dude(esp. since you work at GC) The I5 is great for snare and toms up to 16". It will work for kicks(dont get me wrong), but there are way better choices. Like the sennheiser E602/E902 or MD421, Beta 52, RE20,D112.
Heck I used 57's on kicks yrs back and they worked fine too.

yeah, its not an i5, i dont know what im talking about, i was actually thinking about the d112 as well. and i dont work at GC anymore =0
