Meshuggah bases their music on the push/pull of polymetric rhythms, and the sterility of their melody's within that framework. Show me a single FF song with a polymetric part. Sure you might not like the technique, but that IS what meshuggah is all about, so any similarity to FF is far from their focus. Meshuggah is one of my favorite bands. But I am pointing out that if you HAD TO compare them to a band it would be FF and not PANTERA...Please don't try to explain to me why Meshuggah is an important, or complex band.
