I agree whole-heartedly! The notion of holding local bands to any type of standard died with the Nineties, get with the times!!

I can remember the "bad old days" when nobody was afraid to tell a band they sucked. How stupid we were! Can you imagine what the New England scene would be like if shitty bands were blacklisted, if clubs only booked RESPECTED Metal acts, if bands actually had to prove themselves better than the others before getting a release deal? I shudder at the horror!!!

Thankfully we live in a time where any dolt with a PC and a MySpace page can call themselves a "band," get a show with Zircon, and be treated with the same level of respect as the VERY FEW who've actually delivered the goods!
