Canon as a company is more generous to lending equipment to pro photogs. I've been in photo pits using the same lens specs with a Canon pro and we both take pics and i see little differences. Also, I've helped "newbies" a few times who had Canons and lenses not even as good as mine. I've helped them set up their cameras for no flash photography and they had brighter pics than i did. Also, 5d=full frame nikon doesn't do that I have a Canon 35mm...no issues...so why not. I will go to shows with both and see for myself.
