The mega popular bands that early hardcore supposedly spawned are all junk and are the complete antithesis of a lot of these bands. I've never actually asked the guy but I don't see how a guy like John Joseph (who never saw a cent from any of the Cro Mags record sales) could really be proud that something he was involved in helped to spawn the Family Values tour 20 years later.
