Some of my favorite non-NE USBM: Wind of the Black Mountains, Blood Storm, Krieg, Winter of Apokalypse, Nachtmystium, and Weakling I really don't like that USBM band Harvist. I listened to A Gleam in the Night and it had the absolute worst production I've ever heard. It wasn't even the good visceral feeling you get from a hissing lo-fi tape recorder, it was just really tinny and shitty sounding.
