dude, that's not really a big deal. in, say, the 5 hours it takes to fly to Cali, what do you NEED to do over the net that you don't want the government to be able to see if they're suddenly suspicious (i.e. you have a turban)?

would you be upset about the gov't being able to eavesdrop on, say, free wireless provided in a government building?

i guess i can sort of see your point, but i think we need to pick our battles. when they want to tap everything (and who says they aren't already), then it's time for the revolution.
